Adexen Recruitment Agency is mandated by a leading FMCG Group with multiple operations in Africa, Middle East, Asia & Europe. The Group is looking to recruit the position of Head of Supply Finance.
Job description
The Head of supply finance will be responsible for the Supply Chain SBU and ensure that all required financial leadership and support is provided to the MD and the team. The head of Supply Chain will act as the financial interface between the unit and the respective group finance teams and ensure that the financial interest of the company is safeguarded.
The Head of Supply Chain will report to the CFO and the MD Supply Chain.
The position is based in Lagos.
Responsibilities
* Ensure that proper spending controls are in place, and that the unit is aware of the actual spend versus latest commitment
* Together with the rest of the unit team drive to optimize working capital
* Act as interface between the unit team and the Nigeria group finance functions.
* Manage the overall costing processes and ensure that the standard cost for current and new products reflect the true picture and that any changes are proactively reconciled and communicated.
* Assess the impact on standard cost on raw material and other cost increases and ensure that these impacts are understood throughout the organization
* Ensure that all investment and sourcing proposals are fully analyzed with financial impact being understood and returns optimized.
* Manage the financial month end closing for the unit and ensure that results are accurate and clearly understood
* Coordinate the 5 year plan, budget and profit forecast for the unit.
* Proactively seek ways to further drive the profitability of the SBU, via margin improvement initiatives and other tools
* Ensure that the monthly and yearly profit performance is tracked and that the status is explained to the management on a continuous basis and required actions are taken.
Qualifications et experience
* Chartered Accountant
* Not more than 12–15yrs experience on a similar role, with at least 7years in a managerial position.
* Experience in developing and maintaining financial processes.
* Innovative and influencing skills
* Good knowledge of SAP or any ERP
* Understands company business environment and risks
* Good communication and presentation skills
* Good peoples leadership skills and coaching skills
* Good computer skills in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
* Must be flexible
* Analytic skills
